What people are saying:
The band members describe themselves as “a 4-piece,high-energy, get ‘em out on the dance floor stringband from the Front Range of Colorado’s Rocky Mountains.” And the crowd at the Rock Inn certainly agreed with that description, especially when they played the old Alabama hit “Mountain Music;” there was enthusiastic foot-stomping , even high-kicking, on the dance floor, and at least one dancer who appeared to be practicing skiing hip turns as a dance style.
Alex, Jon and Jarett create the original songs played by the group, and I was highly impressed with them: “Anna Lee ” had three-part harmony singing in what was a rather traditional-sounding song until it got to the bridge, where they changed register and progression, and vocally added just a hint of R&B soul, before reverting back.
